SELF-HOSTED BY DESIGN

Your media stays on your server

No media cloud

TechStreamTV serves your files from the Windows computer you control. Library records, users, settings, posters, and playback history are stored alongside the server installation. Optional metadata lookups and software updates can use the internet, but your media library stays on your server and doesn't need to be uploaded anywhere for local playback.

Free for personal use: TechStreamTV Media Server, the bundled Web UI, and the current Windows Player are free for personal, non-commercial use. See the TechStreamTV Software License for usage terms.

WEB

One official Web UI

TechStreamTV Media Server currently includes the default TechStreamTV Web UI. No alternate official themes are currently available.

SAFE

Library data stays separate

Changing Web UI files does not replace the SQLite library, media folders, or server configuration.

A server owner may substitute a custom Web UI for their own installation. Custom Web UIs need to remain compatible with the Media Server APIs and aren't official TechStreamTV releases.
