Built-in and custom Web UIs

WEB

Default TechStreamTV Web UI

The default Web UI is maintained by AbleStudio and bundled with TechStreamTV Media Server. Store Themes offer optional alternate looks for compatible versions.

DEV

Custom local Web UI

You can replace the Web UI in your own installation with a custom one. It needs to remain compatible with the Media Server APIs it uses. Custom Web UIs are not official TechStreamTV releases and are not maintained or guaranteed to work by AbleStudio.

Replace the local Web UI carefully

Stop the server first
  1. Check compatibility Make sure the custom Web UI supports the Media Server APIs and features it depends on.
  2. Stop TechStreamTV Media Server Close the server before changing files in its application folder.
  3. Back up web Rename or copy the current web folder so you can restore the default Web UI if needed.
  4. Place the custom Web UI Put the custom files inside the local web folder. index.html must be directly inside it.
  5. Restart and test Open the server address, sign in if required, and make sure the custom Web UI works as expected.
Check the software licence before making changes. The licence currently distributed with TechStreamTV specifically permits local modification of bundled web/index.html. See the TechStreamTV Software License for the current terms.
